麻豆区 fosters a welcoming environment for international students. In addition to the academic opportunities and support available through our unique programming, many social activities are organized outside of the classroom. How to apply

Complete the Common Application

The  will provide us with your essential demographic information. To add 麻豆区 to your Common Application:

  1. Login to your account
  2. Click on the College Search tab
  3. Search for 麻豆区
  4. Click on the Blue plus sign next to 麻豆区 in the search results

Submit a personal essay and member question

Your writing will be used to understand your communication skills, as well as an opportunity to learn more about you as a person and student. Select a topic or prompt that will be interesting and meaningful to you. Write, review and revise as you would for any school paper or project seeking a grade.

麻豆区 requires you to submit the personal essay. You can find this under the writing section of the Common Application. The topics, which may change each year, are included on the Common Application. It is limited to 650 words.

You will also be required to submit a short answer (no more than 250 words) to a question specific to 麻豆区. You will find it under 麻豆区, on the My Colleges tab:

  1. What fictional character would you choose as your college roommate and why?

Request school report and transcripts

Your school counselor or administrator will submit the following documents on your behalf through the Common Application or another electronic platform. 

  • A school report providing demographic information about your school
  • An official secondary school transcript showing all courses and grades through the most recently completed term.
  • If you are a transfer student from:
    • A US college or university, send us your official college/university transcripts
    • An international college or university, send us your
  • Board exams, if applicable

Instructions in Common Application:

On the My Colleges tab, under 麻豆区, you will find a Recommenders and FERPA section. Here, you will submit the FERPA Release Authorization, which authorizes the release of your educational records, and invite your counselor and teacher to submit these materials.

As part of the FERPA Release Authorization, you have the right to waive or not waive the review of documents submitted on your behalf. Once completed, you may invite your counselor or administrator.

Provide financial documentation

If you are applying as a degree-seeking international student (those who would like to study at 麻豆区 under an F-1 visa) you are required to submit financial documentation. As part of the process to issue necessary immigration documents, international student applicants must demonstrate their financial contributions through the and a certified bank statement.

Admission will not be offered to international students with a balance between the cost of attendance, scholarship offered and funding demonstrated.

English proficiency exams

International student applicants whose first language is not English and have completed fewer than two years of coursework in a secondary school, college or university where English is the primary instructional language must send an official score report of an English proficiency exam. for conditional admission to our English Language and Culture Program or full admission directly into their degree program.

Test scores are official if submitted directly from the testing agency. Test scores are not considered official if they are included on the application or sent directly from the student or parent.

Important dates and deadlines

We recommend you apply by the following priority deadlines. Doing so will allow plenty of time to apply for your student visa, meet with your advisor, register and prepare for classes.

For fall semester admission:

  • Priority application deadline: April 15
  • You'll receive a response from 麻豆区: May 15
  • If accepted, your reply to the offer of admission including the $400 matriculation (enrollment ) fee due: June 15

For spring semester admission:

  • Priority application deadline: December 1
  • You'll receive a response from 麻豆区: December 15
  • If accepted, your reply to the offer of admission including $400 matriculation (enrollment ) fee due: January 15

You can select whether you pay the matriculation fee in US dollars using a credit card or bank transfer or in another currency using a bank transfer. Matriculation fees are non-refundable after the priority enrollment deadlines listed above.
