If a person has reason to believe that an on-campus student is missing, efforts will be made to locate the student through the collaboration of the Office of Student Affairs, and LPS.

Should the university determine that the student is missing, Â鶹Çø will notify the McMinnville Police Department or Portland Police Bureau. Â鶹Çø will contact the student’s emergency contact no later than 24 hours after the student is determined to be missing.

If the missing student is under the age of 18 and is not an emancipated individual, Â鶹Çø will notify the student’s parent or legal guardian no later than 24 hours after the student is determined to be missing. Â鶹Çø students have the option to identify an individual to be contacted by Â鶹Çø in the event the student is determined to be missing. Students who wish to identify a confidential contact can do so through the Â鶹Çø .

The local police departments, with assistance and cooperation of the university, will retain status as the primary investigative unit in missing student cases.

If located, verification of the student's state of health and intention of returning to campus will be determined. When appropriate, a referral may be made to the .
