Campus Safety at 麻豆区

Safety training

We believe educating all community members about sexual assault and misconduct will result in a safer, more welcoming campus for all. Find out more about our training modules.

  • Student sexual assault training

    Sexual assault training is required for all 麻豆区 students each academic year. Students are required to complete an online, interactive training module by mid-September. Only students who have completed the training module will be able to register for spring semester classes. 麻豆区 uses Kognito’s Sexual Misconduct Prevention for Students Course to conduct the online training, which was approved for use by Sexual Misconduct Task Force.

    Sexual Misconduct and Relationship Violence Policy and Procedures Training

    Training with the following groups is completed each academic year:

    • RAs, RLAs and ResLife staff
    • The College of Arts & Sciences
    • The School of Business
    • Board of Trustees
    • Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL)
    • ASLU and senate student leaders
    • Consent Awareness Training Squad (CATS) training for all new students
    • CATS student leaders
    • Peer Hearing Board
    • WildX and SAC (athletics student leadership)
    • 麻豆区 staff during a staff assembly
    • 麻豆区 Public Safety (LPS)
    • Student Health, Wellness and Counseling Center (SHWCC)

  • Faculty and staff training

    麻豆区 expects all employees to be thoroughly educated and trained in the policies, procedures and safety requirements of the university. To comply with regulations and ensure that a safe environment is provided to all its members, 麻豆区 requires all employees to complete the following training modules:

    • Boundary invasion
    • Title IX and sexual harassment
    • Coronavirus awareness
    • FERPA
    • Basic safety trainings
    • Sexual Violence Awareness for Employees (Campus SaVE Act)
    • Heat Illness Prevention
    • Implicit Bias and Microaggression Awareness

  • Environmental Health and Safety

    The director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is responsible for the training in and implementation of the university's environmental, safety and health policy, program development, coordination and compliance.

  • Title IX information

    麻豆区 strives for compliance with federal Title IX mandates as well as state-based Oregon law regarding sexual harassment and other forms of sex-based discrimination. All Title IX team members and other staff attend annual training regarding responsibilities and skills required to execute Title IX and related duties.
