Returning to 麻豆区

麻豆区 welcomes former students who withdrew without taking an official leave of absence, or whose leave of absence has expired, and have not completed their bachelor’s degree to apply for readmission.

Follow the directions below if you are a previous:

  • McMinnville campus student who meets the above criteria.
  • Prelicensure School of Nursing student who was not enrolled for a semester or more and did not have an approved leave of absence, or who had a leave of absence that has expired.
  • School of Nursing RN-BSN student who was dismissed or has not been enrolled for four accelerated semesters without taking an official leave of absence.
  • Online and Continuing Education student who has not enrolled for five or more consecutive terms.

Do not proceed if you are:

  • A prospective student who has not previously applied for admission to any 麻豆区 program.
  • A previous student – of any campus program – who is on an approved leave of absence.
  • A previous applicant who did not enroll.
  • Interested in attending 麻豆区 as a non-degree student, including an individual who is a senior citizen auditing a course, a high school student completing a course toward a high school curriculum, or an international exchange student

Personal statement:

You will be asked to upload a personal statement addressing your interest in returning to 麻豆区. A minimum of 250 words is requested, but no more than 650 words is necessary. You can upload a PDF or Word document for the above application form.

Transcripts:

You must submit an official transcript from each college or university previously attended after leaving 麻豆区. This includes those for dual-enrollment courses while in high school, regardless of whether credit was earned or is desired to be transferred.

Electronic transcripts are preferred and must be sent directly from the institution to admission@linfield.edu.

If you will have fewer than 62-semester credits at the time of enrollment, an official high school transcript showing confirmed date of graduation or GED scores is also required.

All international university-level transcripts, regardless of language, must be evaluated and sent by a NACES or AICE approved credential evaluation service.

Transcripts are reviewed for the completion of key courses and progress from year to year. This includes increasing difficulty in coursework and sustained demonstrated success. If you have experienced specific challenges, you may include an explanation in your personal statement.

Additional notes:

  • You are responsible for consulting your academic department regarding changes to major and minor requirements. When degree requirements have changed, the academic department has the right to specify the catalog year(s) available to the student.
  • You must meet the most recently approved requirements for any program that is accredited or licensed.
  • If you are returning to a new program with specific entrance requirements, admission to that program is not guaranteed.
  • You must meet the graduation requirements from an eligible catalog and which has not expired at the time of graduation.
  • If you left the college because of a suspension or medical leave, you must appeal your status with the appropriate office. This can be done while your application is in process, but a decision will not be made before the appeal decision.
  • Before an admission decision, the Office of Admission will verify your status with the following offices and confirm as follows:
    • Dean of students: prior conduct or disciplinary violations
    • Financial aid: to verify eligibility for need-based financial aid
    • Registrar’s office: academic holds, including suspensions, probations or warnings
    • Student accounts: outstanding account balances from prior terms attended
    • Student, health, wellness and counseling: prior medical leaves, including for physical and/or mental health

Priority deadlines:

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We recommend that students for all campus/programs submit the application at least three weeks before the start of the academic term. 

McMinnville campus:

  • Fall entry: April 15
  • Spring entry: December 1

School of Nursing:

  • Fall entry: July 1
  • Spring entry: December 1
