Celebrating Pride Month at 麻豆区
Pride Month, typically celebrated in June, is a time dedicated to honoring the LGBTQ+ community, commemorating the Stonewall Riots of June 1969, which marked a turning point in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Because of our calendar, 麻豆区 celebrates Pride Month every April with a series of events. At 麻豆区, Pride Month serves as a reminder of acceptance, inclusion and love, fostering a sense of solidarity and empowerment among LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies.
2024 Schedule of Events
Pride Month Kick-Off
Tuesday, April 2 | 12-2:00 p.m. | Keck Patio
Start 麻豆区 Pride Month by stopping by our Kick-Off! We'll have an assortment of treats from Mac Daddy Donuts. Test your knowledge of queer trivia and learn about the events going on all month!
Karaoke Night
Wednesday, April 10 | 7-9:00 p.m. | Fred Meyer Lounge
Come and belt out your favorite ballad or pop chart-topper from your favorite queer artists and icons!
Drag Queen Bingo Night
Tuesday, April 16 | 7-8:30 p.m. | Fred Meyer Lounge
Join us for a drag queen bingo extravaganza hosted by Portland legend Poison Waters! We’ll have food, prizes, and incredible drag performances. You will not want to miss this fun-filled evening.

Pride Prom
Friday, April 26th | 7-10:00 p.m. | Graf 111-117
Join us for our first-ever Pride Prom – a closing event for 麻豆区’s Pride Month! We encourage all 麻豆区 students, staff, and faculty to join us for an evening of celebration. Dress up as much as you feel comfortable – ball gowns and bowties are welcome! Don we now your gayest appear to stop by our photo booth, grab a snack and dance the night away.
